Week 1

During the first week of production I researched the main music videos in which the music promotion package would be based upon. Also I researched the genre of music in which the song is from which is "indie." From the music videos we found the exact shots in which will be used in our music video which is a medium close up of the singer in a plain background. Also this fitted into the genre research as the music video was from the same genre as the music we will be using. Similarly we found a video which was from a slow song, which our song is, that told a story along side the close ups of the singer singing which is the plan for our music video. From the videos we watched we have been able to gain an clearer idea of how to shoot our own music video which will be done in a few weeks time once we have all the story boarding and mise en scene in place ready to film. Hopefully the majority of the filming will be done during half term which will be easier to do as we wont have to work around lesson times to film the video and also most of the videos setting is outside of college in birmingham city centre.
